About Quality Motors Of Independence, Inc.

Quality Motors of Independence, Inc.

For generations, Quality Motors has been proud to serve Independence, Kansas and the surrounding communities with a simple goal: treat people right and make buying a vehicle a better experience.

Our story began in the 1960s when Lorne Schlatter founded what was originally known as Quality Chrysler. Through decades of growth, changes, and continued investment in the community, the dealership evolved into Quality Motors with the addition of the Ford franchise. Along the way, partnerships with Bob Scovel and Jim Pollock helped strengthen the business, and in 1986 the family of dealerships expanded with the addition of Quality Toyota—an operation that continues to serve customers today.

Today, Quality Motors is owned by Kevin Botts and Allen Wulf, who continue the tradition of building lasting relationships and delivering a dealership experience rooted in trust, accessibility, and hometown values. What has remained constant over the years is our commitment to the people who make this region home. Our team includes staff from Elk, Labette, Montgomery, and Wilson counties, and we’re proud to support local communities, work with local vendors whenever possible, and invest in the places where our employees and customers live.

As a locally owned business, we believe being available matters. Our ownership and management teams remain approachable and accessible by phone, text, email, or in person because we know relationships matter long after the sale.

We’re proud of our history, proud to call Southeast Kansas home, and excited to continue serving our community for generations to come.
